NYS Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
ARISE’s Long-Term Care Ombudsmen advocate for the rights of people living in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Ombudsmen also encourage and support residents and their families to advocated for themselves. Ombudsmen work to actively investigate residents’ concerns and work toward a solution. This program is free and confidential. We cover facilities in the counties of Onondaga, Oswego, Cayuga and Cortland.
This program is successful because of the strong core of volunteer Ombudsmen. To learn more about becoming a certified Ombudsman, please call 315.671.5108.
