Stay Tuned: Navigating the Muddy Waters of Accessibility Upgrades

ve been in my apartment about 9 ½ years and it’s time to do a upgrade/replacement on my handicap accomocations. When I first had the accommodations made at that time by NYS, we were told these upgrades could be done at the ten year mark. With that in mind, we’ve begun the process and well, come to find out, NYS will only upgrade when the equipment is broken. With my heavy reliance on a ceiling Hoyer lift and track, and the length of time it takes to get repairs done, does this make sense to anyone? Stay tuned as we navigate the muddy waters.
