Work Incentives Coordination
If you are employed, or plan to get a job ARISE’s Work Incentives Coordinator can guide you in:
- Writing a Plan for Achieving Self-Support (PASS). A PASS lets you set aside “countable” income and/or other resources for a specific period of time so you can achieve a work goal.
- Discuss individual employment goals, including possible barriers and the resources or services you would need to overcome any barriers. A WIPA can also help find those resources and services.
- Help plan how to use work incentives or other benefits for a successful return to work.
- Help consumers work with a local Social Security office to put in place the work incentives that consumers need.
- Help consumers use their Ticket to Work and find an Employment Network that is right for the individual.
- Answer questions about:
- How part-time, full-time, or seasonal work would affect an individuals disability benefits and other benefits that they may receive from Federal, State, and local programs.
- How work would affect a beneficiary’s health care.
- Information about SSA work incentives and work incentives of other programs.
