School-Based Mental Health Programs

ARISE provides school-based mental health services in three Syracuse schools: Dr. Weeks Elementary, Dr. King Elementary, and Bellevue Middle School Academy. Our school-based mental health program offers mental health services to children and families who can’t obtain services because of cost or transportation issues.

School-based clinicians provide prevention and treatment to children and families who are experiencing emotional distress. Our goal is to reduce truancy and behavioral problems by working with partners throughout the child’s system of care, including guidance counselors and health care providers.
