 Respite Services

Are you a parent or a caregiver to a child or adult with disabilities? Do you have difficulty finding safe supervision for your loved-one when you need to work, run errands, or relax?

ARISE now offers Respite Services in Onondaga, Madison, and Oswego Counties. Respite programs are designed to give parents and care-givers a much-needed break while offering individuals with disabilities safe supervision and a variety of social and recreational experiences that build independent living skills. Programs have flexibility in scheduling to meet each participant’s individual needs.

ARISE offers after-school respite services for school-aged children with developmental disabilities. Services are provided at area community centers in Onondaga and Madison Counties. Individuals can participate in a variety of social and recreational experiences such as games and toys, reading, outdoor play, computer use, and fun seasonal activities.

ARISE in-home respite services are offered to individuals with developmental disabilities living throughout Oswego County. Participants need to be at least three years old and live with family. Services are offered in the participant’s home, and can include time in the evenings and on weekends so caregivers can run errands, enjoy an evening out, or relax.
