 High School Transition Services

Are you a high school student who needs guidance identifying your career goals?  Are you interested in improving the skills you will need after you graduate?

ARISE’s High School Transition Services are available to youth who have a developmental disability and are currently enrolled in the Mexico or Central Square School Districts.

Our High School Transition Services help you explore career goals, achieve your educational and work goals, and increase your independent living skills. You can choose from a variety of one-on-one and group activities, including:

  • Career Exploration Activities – vocational assessment, job shadowing, volunteer experience, local worksite tours, and job fairs.
  • Education and Employment Skills Training – job application assistance, resume development, occupational research, interview preparation, and understanding employer expectations.
  • Leadership & Social Skills Development – teamwork skill-building, leadership training, conflict resolution, decision-making, goal setting, independent living skills, and confidence building.

ARISE also provides education advocacy services to ensure children with disabilities receive an appropriate education in the least restricted environment.

ARISE’s High School Transition Services have certain eligibility requirements. Contact us to learn more about whether you are eligible for High School Transition Services.
