UNIQUE 2010 Call for Artists!
UNIQUE is an Art and Literary Magazine that shares the artistic visions and voices of individuals with disabilities. Art comes in many forms and the creative work published in UNIQUE includes poems, paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, computer-based art, and mixed-media works. UNIQUE is published annually to display the creative work of artists with disabilities living in Central New York.
UNIQUE 2010 will mark the tenth publication of the magazine. We encourage anyone with a disability living in Central New York to submit original art or literary works for consideration by the UNIQUE Editorial Board.
We are currently accepting submissions of written and visual works for the 2010 edition of UNIQUE Magazine through June 10, 2010. UNIQUE 2009 is available!
The UNIQUE 2009 edition features the art and literary works of about 70 area artists. Due to the record number of submissions, the magazine is four pages larger than the previous year in order to accommodate additional deserving creative work. The magazine was unveiled on October 14, 2009 at the Delavan Art Gallery, where over 130 people filled the gallery for the Unveiling Celebration and to see the 52-piece UNIQUE exhibit on display for that evening only.
