ARISE & Ski Seeks Volunteers for 2011 \Ski Season

SYRACUSE, NY: Attention all skiers and snowboarders: you have the opportunity to help others learn how to participate in the winter sports you love. ARISE & Ski, Central New York’s only all-inclusive adaptive ski and snowboarding program, is seeking volunteers to help individuals with disabilities learn how to ski and snowboard in the 2011 season. The program takes place Saturdays and Sundays for six weeks in January and February at Toggenburg Winter Sports Center in Fabius, New York.

All skill-levels of volunteers are appreciated, and there are some indoor volunteer opportunities available. ARISE & Ski participants are of all ages, and families are welcome. Volunteers receive a free lift pass for every shift worked.

The first volunteer training session starts October 12, so contact us today!

The only thing better than feeling the rush of the cool wind as you race down a mountain is sharing that rush with someone else. For more information on ARISE & Ski opportunities, contact Richelle Maki at 671-3094 or e-mail ski@ariseinc.org.
