Mental Health Clinical Services Manager, Grade 9

Reports to:  Mental Health Clinical Services Director

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Job Summary:  Provide supervisory direction to the mental health clinical staff as determined by the Clinic Services Director throughout all clinic locations under the Office of Mental Health Article 31 guidelines. Promote and support the treatment goals of individuals accessing services.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work or related field; current NYS Certification as LCSW; LCSW-R preferred
  • Minimum five years’ experience with mental health services, preferably in a management/supervisory capacity, experience with managed care organizations; demonstrated capacity to work with Electronic Health Records System 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide general direction to mental health services through program operation in all service locations
  • Provide direct supervision to clinical supervisors among clinical programs as well as contracted psychiatrists
  • Provide required support and supervision to program coordination including, but not limited to: School-Based services, Satellite locations and Intern program
  • Monitor and assist with new program and satellite site implementation
  • Supervision of crisis services and incident management
  • Provide clinical interventions to walk-in clientele as needed
  • Recruit, hire, train, and promote staff
  • Monitor employee retention strategies and programs
  • Conduct internal audit functions, in cooperation with the Clinical Director and Director of Quality Improvement and Corporate Compliance to assure regulatory compliance and highest quality services
  • Assist in the design and management of systems to assure client involvement and satisfaction with services
  • Develop and monitor, in cooperation with the Clinical Service Director and Clinic Operations Manager, budgets that support mental health services
  • Monitor productivity of clinicians in order to assure accomplishment of required levels of provided services
  • Assist in the design of, and monitor system for, regular (internal and external) reporting of services required under various contracts
  • Participate in ARISE management team
  • Coordinate issues concerning services provided under mental health services with other ARISE program and support functions
  • Further the ARISE mission
  • Represent ARISE at local, regional and national planning and advocacy groups
  • Demonstrate service excellence, and convey professionalism at all times
  • Generate team enthusiasm to achieve optimum results
  • Uphold the codes of conduct and ethics as well as all ARISE policies and procedures
  • Exercise sound judgment as a matter of course and hold protected health information and other sensitive information in the strictest of confidence in accordance with ARISE and HIPAA policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
