Breast Health Awareness & Outreach
Our Breast Health Awareness & Outreach program helps increase breast health awareness and encourage early screening for underserved, uninsured, or underinsured women. The program also focuses on reaching out to women with disabilities, a population that is often a sub-group of underserved populations, since many women with disabilities face additional barriers to services.
This program is funded by a grant from the Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
What services are offered?
In addition to outreach services and group presentations, we also:
- Provide one-on-one support to help you overcome barriers (transportation, cost, accessibility) to screening
- Guide you through follow-up diagnostic and treatment services if you receive a positive mammogram result
- Refer you to free or low cost programs in the community that cover mammograms
- Can help you find an accessible mammography facility
Am I eligible?
This program is free and open to everyone. There are no eligibility requirements for this program.
