Community Services Manager – Oswego

Job Summary: The Community Services Manager provides direction to the Community Habilitation Coordinators under the guidance of the Community Services Senior Manager.  Exercises sound judgement as a matter of course and maintains a required level of professional conduct.  Assures the mission of ARISE to enhance the rights and interests of people with disabilities.  Demonstrates integrity that guides the Community Services Staff as well as assures the code of conduct, HIPAA, Corporate Compliance and all ARISE policies are upheld.

Essential Functions:

  • Program and contract oversight (including auditing and QI reporting) of Medicaid billable Community Habilitation Program
  • Documentation compliance oversight
  • Ensure documentation compliance
  • Develop policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD program requirements
  • Train, coach, and support staff in attaining program goals
  • Conduct periodic department meetings/trainings to keep staff informed, engaged and motivated to deliver effective, safe, quality person-centered services
  • Coordinate evaluation of staff
  • Submit Agency reports as required
  • Attend/ participate in meetings as required
  • Actively participate in Community committees as appropriate
  • Create presentations as required
  • Work to build, maintain and enhance cohesiveness among the department
  • Uphold the codes of conduct and ethics as well as all ARISE policies and procedures
  • Hold protected health information and other sensitive information in the strictest of confidence in accordance with ARISE and HIPAA policies
  • Maintain detachment from personal involvements with subordinate staff, individuals and / or their family members
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field, plus a minimum of two years in a Management position with supervisory responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities
  • Demonstrated skills in reporting, budget analysis
  • Working knowledge of the relevant county resources and opportunities
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency
