 Position: Central New York BHCC (Behavioral Health Care Collaborative) Coordinator

Job Description:

The mission of the Central New York Behavioral Health Care Collaborative is to work collaboratively to significantly improve health outcomes and the quality of care for those we serve and to help our partners prepare for Value-Based Payment Arrangements. To support the mission of the CNY BHCC, the Coordinator will plan and coordinate the activities of a behavioral health care collaborative and around Behavioral Health Services within Medicaid Managed Care. The Coordinator must be a self-starter who possesses excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills, and a strong ability to identify, prioritize and diplomatically handle multiple tasks (from partner groups) within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. The Central New York BHCC (Behavioral Health Care Collaborative) Coordinator will take direction from the lead agency (Helio Health Inc.) until a governing body and corporate entity are formed. This position supervises all staff and contractors of the BHCC, collaborates with Network and Affiliate partners. Will also collaborate with other BHCCs for opportunities to share information and ideas and communicates with Managed Care Organizations. The Coordinator will ensure Board and Committee meetings are well-attended and well-run as well as coordinating and running trainings and learning events. The coordinator will prepare and distribute reports and meeting minutes, prepare agendas, content, and presentations as needed. Is responsible for tracking and reporting on progress made towards work plan goals and objectives. This position will be based in Syracuse, NY, covering a multi-county region and requires time flexibility with some evening meetings required, and occasional overnight travel.

 

Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years’ progressive responsibility

Background in Behavioral Health, Health, Human Services, or a closely related field, is preferred

Demonstrated ability to function as an effective team organizer

Strong organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to problem-solve and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision

Ability to comprehend and track committee processes to ensure group needs are addressed

Ability to clearly and concisely present information in one-on-one and group situations

Ability to engage multiple stakeholders and adapt to changing tasks and expectations

Valid NYS Driver’s License required

Proficiency in MS Office Tools
