FLSA Status: Exempt

Pay Range: $1461.54 per biweekly pay period

Note: This is an ARRA-funded position

JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to provide hands-on leadership to the Advocacy Department to maximize effectiveness and outreach; and, to develop additional  Independent Living services in Oswego County.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Program and contract oversight of non-Medicaid billable youth and adult services:
  • Submit reports for IL services programs;
  • Reporting and documentation compliance
  • Develop, review, revise policies and procedures
  • Develop new funding streams for non-Medicaid funded services; collaborate with supervisor to develop overall continuing and future program plans
  • Recruit, train, mentor, manage and coach employees in attaining program goals;  build a cohesive team
  • Agency Responsibilities
  • Support  the ARISE mission and assist other programs as needed
  • Uphold ethical standards required of a member of management team
  • Proactively support ARISE policies and procedures
  • Participate in Agency, team, and other required meetings
  • Prepare periodic reports
  • Community Awareness
  • Actively participate in task forces
  • Deliver engaging presentations
  • Operate interdependently as a manager as well as a team member
  •  Hold sensitive information and PHI with professional discretion, HIPAA compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field, plus five years’ relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated skills in writing proposals, presentations, reports
  • Working knowledge of Oswego County and its resources
  • Mastery of computer skills, esp. MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
  • Disability rights / IL philosophy awareness
  • Previous successful supervisory experience
