 Senior Clinical Supervisor- School-Based

Reports To: Director of Mental Health Clinic

FLSA Status: Exempt

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work
  • New York State Certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Demonstrated ability to function both autonomously and as a team member
  • Knowledge of community resources, Office of Mental Health regulations, and Child Welfare system
  • Two years supervisory experience in MH clinic and/or community-based setting
  • Electronic Medical Records experience
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency working with MS Office applications
  • Have or obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) under the National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (a simple online process)
  • Able to travel to community locations as needed; clean driver license, reliable, insured, registered vehicle

Essential Functions

  • Provide direct supervision to the Clinical Supervisor of the School-based Mental Health Program, indirect support for the SBMH clinicians
  • Collaborate with the principal and/or other appropriate administrators of each school served
  • Proactive guidance to the ARISE MH Clinic restructuring process
  • Foster activities that assure services are conducted according to the most current evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in internal audit functions, in cooperation with the Director of Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance and Contract Management to assure regulatory compliance and highest quality services.
  • Maintain a caseload to be determined
  • Provide intake, assessment, treatment planning, therapy, and discharge planning services to individuals, families, and groups of adults and children who are clients of the agency
  • Provide supervisory coverage on a rotating basis for the after hours beeper
  • Consult with appropriate collateral resources involved with the clients of the agency.
  • Utilize a systems approach to providing services in order to help clients achieve improved family, community, and individual functioning.
  • Maintain case records in accordance with regulating bodies.
  • Assess appropriateness of clients for services, and make referrals for additional services as needed.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with other agencies in the community and represent ARISE in a positive and professional manner.
  • Participate in community efforts to address service gaps, as needed.
  • Provide outcome and demographic data as needed for program reports to funders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
